Project background:

Orioncarbons (Qingdao) Co. , Ltd. is a joint venture company set up in Qingdao by Germany yingchuang industrial group, one of the top 500 enterprises in the world. Orioncarbons (Qingdao) is the current domestic equipment and advanced technology of carbon black production base, a new EDI system to replace the original mixed bed process. After the equipment is built, the acid-base dosage will not be used when the mixed bed is regenerated, and the management level will be improved in the degree of system automation.

Wastewater difficulties:

Edi (Electrodeionization) is a pure water manufacturing technology which combines ion-exchange technology, ion-exchange membrane technology and ion electromigration technology. EDI combines electrodialysis and ion exchange technology to remove charged ions in water under high pressure at both ends of electrodes, and combines with Ion-exchange resin and selective resin membranes to accelerate the removal of ions, thus achieving water purification.

Project outcome:

The EDI system was used in reverse osmosis systems to replace the traditional mixed-bed ion exchange technology (MB-DI) to produce stable ultra-pure water. Compared with traditional ion exchange technology, EDI technology has the following advantages,
